Is Massanutten good for beginners?

Massanutten is an outstanding getaway in the mountains and is great for beginners to intermediate skier’s. There is so much to do for any time of the year and many activities within the resort. You will not be disappointed.

Do you have to wear a helmet at Massanutten?

Face masks are required inside all buildings, when loading & unloading lifts, and in all lines, including lift & ticket lines. Helmet (you only get one head – protect it!)

Can you sled at Massanutten?

No sledding is allowed in the ski area at any time. Lift riders should remove backpacks to allow their back to touch the back of chair, and ensure all straps are tucked in and not dangling loose. It is the guest’s responsibility to check for loose equipment before exiting the chairlift.

We will be offering a Last Chair Special that will be valid for the last 2 hours we are open from 3-5 PM Tuesday – Thursday and 7-9 PM on days with night skiing. Tickets are available for 8-hour sessions, 4-hour sessions, and night sessions.

For the 2020-21 winter season, we will not offer group lessons. All lesson reservations will be for private or semi-private lessons where only guests who are part of same family or traveling party can take lessons together (max group size of 6 students per instructor).
