We are individuals living across the United States who have been drawn together as volunteers for the sole purpose of preserving and protecting pure breed and non-pure breed Papillons in need.

We wanted to offer them the chance to enjoy the same lives as our precious “heart dogs”, T’ai Ch’i and Morgan, were living every day. In 2004, Papillon 911 Rescue and Adoption, Inc became a Federally licenced 501c3 non profit corporation.

Also called the Continental Toy Spaniel. The Papillon is one of the oldest breeds of dog, with a recorded history in Europe going back nearly 700 years. The breed originally only had dropped ears and was called the “epagneul nain” or “dwarf spaniel.” Much of the breed’s development is known because of its depiction in paintings.

Camp Papillon is a non-profit, no-kill 501c3 animal rescue group dedicated to giving all homeless… I love dogs. They have given me so much through my life when I had troubles as a child and adult… We started rescuing, rehabilitating & rehoming animals independently in the early 90’s Also called the Continental Toy Spaniel.

What do you need to know about adopting a Papillon?

All of the Papillons in our care are fully vetted and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We assess the temperament and behavior of the dogs in foster care before considering adoption. This is done to help ensure successful placement into future homes that are best suited to their needs.

How old are the Papillons in the sanctuary?

Now we have 12 sanctuary Papillon foster family members. Seven live with me and 5 live with their wonderful foster families. All but 2 are over 10 years old. At this time, blind, deaf, seizures, heart and liver failures, unfixable behavior problems, we no longer consider any of them adoptable.
